LIFE IS A PUZZLE IN NATURE
How faith worked in Abraham remains a mystery. This bible story has become a fascinating and ideal part of my life. Imagine at the age Abraham had attained, he believed whatever a voice had commanded. This is rare in real life situation; a thing which very handful people would sustain.
I begin to see the whole of Abraham in his frail days- 90s taking two to three minutes before he informs his family about he had heard from the voice itself. I can imagine him taking himself to a solitary place: thinking whether it was worthy enough to do as God had said or not. Sweat of some kind might really come.
The most intriguing part of this story is that Abraham was a mere person in the society and to say something would be an obvious things that nobody couldn't have lent him an ear. He was at verge of all sorts of riducule: being a poor man living in his father's house, no child with his wife, Sarai and on other side, he hears a voice which also tells him an averse in nature.
It took only his board step to meet his long awaiting blessing. Against all odds, he chose to listen to mysterious voice from above. I am sure that his father felt that the son was growing mad and his wife, Sarai, was even more confused and fragile looking at what the husband was dragging her to. She joined a husband to a land she doesn't know despite being told how sweet and promising the place would be.
One interesting thing I have learnt here is that; life is a mystery. In life, some people will get their portion of blessings as young as they could be while others grabing theirs at later times.
To those that they got their blessings at tender age, thanks to Almighty. God favoured them according to his plans and purposes. And those that are, like myself, waiting for the salvation: lets keep our eyes open.
Abraham became rich in silver and gold upon adhering to a land God told him to be. You might be a person of no name in the society, no partner, with or without school and in short, nothing tangible in life but there is appointed time: be watchful.
